Terms of Service

By accessing or using Nima (nimaapp.com and the Nima Android app), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Nima is an AI-powered conversational companion with memory and optional phone integration. Features include chat, voice, reminders, grocery/guardian lists, and device actions when you approve them.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Nima is not a lawyer, doctor, therapist, financial advisor, or emergency service. Responses are generated by AI and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect.

Do not rely on Nima for legal, medical, mental health, financial, or safety-critical decisions. If you are in crisis or danger, contact local emergency services or a qualified professional immediately.

When you use SMS, reminders, or ACT (device automation), you are responsible for reviewing and approving actions before they run.

You are solely responsible for messages sent from your phone through Nima and for compliance with applicable laws (including consent and telecom rules for texting others).

Accessibility and SMS permissions on Android are required for some features. You enable these explicitly in your device settings.

You agree not to:

• Use Nima for illegal activity, harassment, fraud, or harm to others
• Attempt to break, scrape, reverse-engineer, or overload the service
• Use the service to send spam or unsolicited bulk messages
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity when using phone features
• Circumvent safety systems or abuse rate limits

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a license to process, store, and use that content solely to operate and improve Nima (including quality evaluation when enabled).

You represent that you have the right to submit content you provide and that it does not violate others' rights.

Nima uses an anonymous session identifier (no traditional signup). You are responsible for activity under your session. Keep your devices secure.

NIMA IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF NIMA.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS IF YOU PAID NOTHING).

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising from your use of Nima, your content, or your violation of these terms or applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or if necessary to protect the service. You may stop using Nima at any time.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where your local law requires otherwise.

We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
